Doctor of Chiropractic

Dr. Marc Micucci

I attended undergraduate school at West Liberty State College with a degree in exercise physiology. My wife, Dr. Deana Micucci and I graduated from West Liberty State College. My wife is originally from Canonsburg and I am from Follansbee, WV.

Following graduation, I worked for MacPhearson Chiropractic and Therapeutic Rehab in West Virginia. My job entailed creating specific personal rehabilitation programs for auto accidents, workers compensation cases, frozen shoulder and carpal tunnel syndrome, neck and upper back and low back pain just to name a few. He then suggested I continue on to receive my doctorate in Chiropractic. After some thought, and seeing countless patients getting results through Chiropractic care my wife and I both decided to pursue a career in Chiropractic at Life University in Marietta, Georgia.

Our medical program included anatomy, physiology, neurology, orthopedics, nutrition, radiology, obstetrics and gynecology, eyes, ears nose and throat and embryology. To maintain our license, we take 24 hours of Continuing Education every two years. Courses can include neurology, orthopedics, pain management, physical therapy and more.

Our goal is to educate and help as many people as we can from infants to seniors naturally. We want people to understand that pain free does not mean problem free. Seeking a Chiropractor early in life for routine spinal check-ups can help prevent spinal decay and can help most of the neuromuscular conditions that people face each and every day. We hear too many times that people have tried everything with no relief but have not tried Chiropractic. These people benefit the most from Chiropractic.

We feel there are two approaches to Chiropractic. The first one is to treat symptomatically and the second is to treat the cause of the problem (corrective care). The reason our office is so successful is that we take the second approach and correct the cause of the problem. In turn, the symptoms are alleviated.

We were very fortunate to have a family practice close to our friends and family.

Dr. Deana Micucci, D.C.

I received my undergraduate degree in Dental Hygiene from West Liberty State College in West Virginia. After my mother passed away from lung cancer I began working as a hygienist in Pittsburgh, Pa. and was introduced briefly to natural alternatives such as chiropractic. I then realized I had become unfulfilled with my current job and wanted to investigate other options when my desire finally brought me to further explore the chiropractic profession which supported and promoted the body’s natural healing processes. I had already received my bachelor degree in hygiene and continued on to finish my pre-med courses before entering into the program. I quit my job and decided to pursue a career in chiropractic along with my husband Marc. Eventually, I received my doctorate degree in Chiropractic from Life University in Marietta, GA.

I believe that an optimal state of wellness is achieved by the body’s innate ability to heal from the inside out. It is my goal to offer a natural approach in tackling disease and uncover the underlying cause of dysfunction in the body. The key to prevention is educating people to achieve the highest level of well-being by also offering nutritional support, physical modalities, lifestyle changes and stress management techniques.
